ELIZABETH JOHNSON
recently received her Master of Arts from the University of Dallas on a full-ride scholarship. She is already looking forward to her next opportunity to expand her education, explore her love of sculpting and her study of human nature.
While in Texas, Liz had multiple sculptures in exhibitions around the North Texas area, became a member of the Texas Sculpture Association, made incredible friends and connections, and participated in an iron pour at the Texas Women’s University, located in Denton. She also served as the Sculpture Graduate Assistant and the Haggerty Gallery Assistant, both located at the University of Dallas.
Liz received her Bachelor of Science in 2018 with a studio art double major in graphic design and sculpture, with a minor in marketing from Bradley University, located in Peoria, Illinois.
During her time in Peoria, she exhibited work at the Studios on Sheridan and the Contemporary Art Center. She was the recipient of the Kottemann Endowed Scholarship and the Fine and Performing Arts Scholarship at Bradley. Her first life-size sculpture was accepted into the 2019 Peoria Sculpture Walk and received the People’s Choice Award.
Liz's award-winning life-size sculpture, Prometheus I, is currently on display at the Donovan Sculpture Garden, which is also located in Peoria. She currently volunteers for the "DSG", serving not only as their graphic designer, but as one of the first artists to exhibit work on the grounds of the Garden.
She is also currently employed by OSF HealthCare as a Graphic Designer II, which gives her the opportunity to explore her creativity in marketing, expand her knowledge and display her design work across Central Illinois (and Michigan).
